AUTÓDROMO PANAMÁ – Regional endurance motorsport experienced one of its most memorable days with the return of the iconic 500 Kilometers of Panama, serving as the second round of the GT Challenge of the Americas. Faced with a historic grid of over 50 vehicles at the Capira circuit, NACentE Racing ratified its status as a technical benchmark.
The McLaren 720s GT3X Sets the Pace
The team’s spearhead, the imposing McLaren 720s GT3X, was one of the weekend’s major protagonists. After setting a blistering pace starting from free practice, the flagship car demonstrated remarkable consistency under the demanding format of two 45-minute heats. Its on-track performance not only solidified the 720s GT3X as one of the fastest cars on the continent but also highlighted the team’s maturity in configuring this advanced British machine to the level of the world’s best tuners.
Strategic Alliance: NACentE’s Support Powers the SyS Porsche
The team took full responsibility for the engineering, mechanics, and telemetry support for the Porsche 992 Cup GT3 belonging to the SyS structure, piloted by Sergio Solis and Alejandro Muñiz. Under the technical guidance and real-time data analysis of NACentE Racing, the SyS Porsche completed an impeccable run, with configurations optimized to maximize performance. This strategic collaboration underscores the team’s ability to export its know-how under the rigorous discipline of a factory racing team.
Garage Update: The Hard Lessons of Endurance Racing
The team approaches the unpredictability of endurance racing with absolute professional maturity. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 Evo, driven by the duo of André Solano and Juan Diego Hernández, showed highly competitive pace in the opening stages, fighting at the front of the pack. However, the implacable demands of the circuit prematurely curtailed their participation.
“Motorsport is unforgiving. We suffered a severe on-track incident that compromised the integrity of the car. Prioritizing our driver’s safety above all else, we were forced to withdraw the car from the competition. We remain encouraged by the positive speed data; the championship pace is there, and the team is already working on the rebuild with our sights set on a comeback,” declared NACentE Racing’s technical management.
